I generally do video guides for HM encounters (25s perspective), but have occasionally tossed one out for "tricky" normal mode ones (Chimmearon, Baleroc, etc). I do have video footage for almost all of our normal mode encounters (keep forgetting to grab madness...grrrr) to make basic videos for our website - but if there are any encounters, specifically, that people are struggling a little bit with and think that a video walkthrough would be beneficial, please let me know and I'd be happy to throw something together Smile

I have 25s HM experience and 10s normal experience on my two druids, so I'm also happy to just offer tips and tricks I've learned as well!

Would you have anything available for the Spine of Deathwing normal? I would like to see this from a healing prospective and forward info on to our raid leader. We will be attempting it in 25 soon as well as 10 if we don't wrap up in 25.

I have been placed in charge of helping out the other resto druid's. Any tips or tricks you have would help me out emensely. I have a few I figured out, but am open for more.

Thanks Beruthiel!

I won't have time to do a video before the weekend, but let me toss out a few tips! (Note that I've done this on Beru in our progression 25s, and on Elentari in 10s - and I used pretty much the same pverall healing strategy for both).

  • We used 6 healers and assigned 1 healer to focus on clearing each group, and the healer that had "group 1" helped with the tank. When you didn't have someone with the debuff in your group, you assisted with another group that did.
  • The hardest part of the debuff is getting it cleared at the start and after each plate falls off since there are multiple tentacles throwing it out. We dealt with it by waiting for the first roll, then blowing DHs and Tranqs to clear it on the frist one, used SLT on the second, and DH/Tranqs to clear it on the second. This is pretty huge, since once the debuffs are only coming out to 2-3 people (one tentacle) they are very easy to manage.
  • I used ToL in two places, and I can't decide where I like it best. I've tried it when we've gone to roll him and also when the amalg is superheating. You'll have to find a time that it feels "right" for your raid team - but definitely use it!
  • As far as dealing with the debuff using our toolkit: I will save SM for a debuffed person. I will toss out rejuvs on everyone I can with the debuff, if I can afford it without sacrificing my group. I will also WG as soon as debuffed people take damage to make sure it hits them and starts ticking on the debuff. I rely heavily on HT to help clear my debuffs, and will save NS for trying to clear them quickly when the amalg becomes superheated. I will also try to queue up NG right after I tranq and toss our rejuvs to help get the rest of the debuffs cleared off after the roll.
  • If I have more than two people in my group and we are getting ready for a big damage phase, I ask for help with my group. Our toolkit isn't stellar for the fight (and we are fantastic "support" healers for it), but we can fairly easily manage dealing with 1-2 debuffs on our own without too much trouble.
  • I concentrate right after we clear the debuffs after a roll, when there are only like 2 debuffs out. There generally isn't too much damage at that time, and the 10 seconds down isn't prohibitve.

I think that's everything! I'll try to see if I have time to get a video out this weekend (no promises, I have tickets to the Nutcracker!). But if there is something I didn't cover that you would like clarification with, just let me know!
