Hagara Mechanics

I have a question about the Stormbinder Hagara fight. What we have discovered is that by the rogues using their smoke bomb effect just before the Icetombs, no one gets hit. If you want to see it watch my video under the media section.

I am concerned whether this is a bug or working as intended. Its a relatively easy fight and I was wondering if maybe it ties into the heroic version.

I just don't want to get in trouble for abusing a bug that always puts Blizz'z hackles up. If it is a bug I want to alert my guildies.

Using the bug report forum is a real pain as the issue gets buried so fast I have yet to see a response.

Sounds like a bug. There are alot of thing with that fight right now that people are on edge about.

DK's can AMS or something and drop stacks and hide inside the bubble. Mages can Iceblock, priests can Disperse. So many things. I know of people who just go in to the middle and heal up. After all, its only 15% and when you have 2 shaman, 2 druids, and 2 druids having at it and everyone grouped up. Its really easy.

I posted on my guild forums. I told them that I feel that we should not use anything that clearly avoids an intended mechanic of the fight. If they do not Listen and want to continue to use it I am going to sit till I have confirmation.

I believe our Gm will agree with me.

Everything right now on the fight is bugged. At this point, I think blizzard wouldn't say anything about bans, but hotfix it. Just everything you can think of avoids it.

Yes, Smoke bomb properly placed, elemental shamans earthquake, etc.

Heck I just want to cover my bum. I don't want to avoid an intended mechanic. That fight was even buggier on the PTR. Pet spawn procs from tier gear were getting hit by her spells and mechanics.

Received a letter from a GM via the battle.net reporting ticket feature. Do not use this ability till further information can be obtained.

I really want to two heal this fight, but on our last kill two healers got tombed at the same time. I wonder if the tanks can use cooldowns to survive that possibility.

I dunno, it sounds like a clever use of mechanics to me, Smoke Bomb was allowed to cheese shards on H Baleroc, so there is precedent. But yeah, I'd hold off on it until an official confirmation comes through...

I didn't even think about it personally on my rogue, though as combat it's not too hard to toggle on BF and just stab the ice tombs next to the boss anyways.

It feels like they must have overlooked ALOT on this fight. I can see maybe one or two things, but there is even more than what I have listed here. I'm sure of it.

It becomes really did they want this or did they really screw up in coding her? Its like shes just an NPC with normal player disabilities.

hmm what? being inside the barrier stops tombing? hero throw? inside Earthquake?

During the frost phase, people just stack inside the bubble so they don't even need to avoid the spikes. The debuff is only 15% of your health a second I believe. In 25man, its amazingly easy to heal through.

The tombs are a whole another ability. She does this after the spike phase. Avoiding this mechanic would definitely be an exploit.

Yeah. And people are saying several AE healing effects are hitting people through the frost tombs...

Nothing from blizzard on this either expect for a fix of the bubble thing. So I dunno if they just don't care or what. :<

what does Earthquake do? (don't even have a shaman DPS, it's just curiosity)
